I had problem with Sybase in searching a varchar column with different character case. So, I transformed the existing character in Sybase to all lower case and then only perform the comparison.
The Sybase code below have worked on me:
SELECT full_name FROM db_name.table_owber.users WHERE LOWER(full_name) LIKE ‘%fendy%’

I’ve been hearing lots of belligerent comments about AirAsia ever since it’s gotten popular. After seeing their darn-low-price advertisements, my wife and I decided to give a try with it.
We bought via internet return tickets to Penang for the Chinese New Year. Getting the flight information online was fairly easy. Everything was just clicks of a mouse. However, I had slight difficulties during the payment.
After agreed to the ‘Terms and Conditions’ at AirAsia online reservation, I had chosen the Debit Payment method. It stated on the payment page that Debit Payment is better and faster to get the tickets compare to credit card payment.
So, I did just that. Login into my online bank, confirm the price and clicked ‘Confirm’. To my surprise, instead of confirming my payment and flight itinerary, it led to an unexpected page – blank white page.
My lovely wife is a Chinese and had converted to Muslim before we got married. She did the conversion procedure at Pejabat Dakwah Paroi, Negeri Sembilan. It is a place within Seremban vicinity.
I helped her through out the process of adaptation. I called and inquired quite lots number of people before we essentially do anything.

When I bought my first own car last time, I was so thrilled until I even purchased a specific Plate Number from JPJ.
At first, I thought that it’d be difficult to buy a number on my own without using the runner provided by the car sales agent. When asked, the agent told me that to buy a number would cost around RM400-RM500. Some other independent runners even quote me a lot more expensive.
I was little bit surprised when I got the estimation. Then I started to think, can it be that expensive and intricate if I had to buy the number myself. As a result, I did go to JPJ and gotten my favorite Plate Number in less than 30 minutes for only RM310.

I’ve created a mixture of Javascript and CSS codes to change the location attribute of an image.
The picture can be dynamically changed without reloading the page. This is very good example if you are planning to create a CSS element and change its properties without loading the entire page.
As per usual, this code only work with browsers that support DOM. Basically, there is number of things of CSS properties can be changed. My example is only to change the top and left property respectively.
A short example of changing the CSS property using javascript is being described below.

I’ve done it.
My yearly self signed SSL certificate for www.fendy.org has expired. It’s quite exciting that this is my fourth time generating my own certificate. That means, I’ve already been using fendy.org for the past 4 years.
Maybe I should start to think of buying the recognised certificate from www.godaddy.com after all, it is quite cheap nowadays for a single domain.
Anyways, I’m going to describe how to create a new SSL certificate. This does not cover the installation of Apache and Mod SSL.
Subsequent to my previous post about Windows XP Login Page, I’ve modifed the original dhtmlgoodies.com XP Widgets to have the post-login page. It is actually a web page that looks like the My Computer window on Windows XP.
The modification that I made was adding the scroll-drop-down menu to its left panel. So you can add fully functioning menu into that box.
Please take note that the original dhtmlgoodies.com Javascript isn’t small in size.

At times, I do find myself needing to find out the size of the folder in certain directory on my Linux server.
And the weirdest part is; I always forget this command combinations. I’m gonna put it here so that I will remember it.
Command: du -sh /home/fendy
Display: 1.2M /home/fendyCommand: du -h /home/fendy
Display: *List of directories in the folder and their size
